Her story begins in Concord, North Carolina. She traveled the world and lived in various parts of the country in search of life changing experiences and yearning to delve into healthcare and wellbeing that meets the needs of the whole person. After her adventures, she settled in the mountains of Asheville, NC to grow some roots and learn from world-renowned experts in Chinese Medicine.
She received her Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts in May of 2015. While attending Daoist Traditions, she studied extensively with Jeffery Yuen, 88th generation Daoist Priest. Her time with him resulted in a deep understanding of Classical Chinese Medicine and how to utilize the five channel systems of the human body.

She has worked with hundreds of patients to help them sleep soundly, improve digestion, calm anxiety, meet their health goals, and move without pain - all in order to cultivate more energy and wellbeing. She treats people of all seasons from children to athletes to geriatric patients. For many of her acupuncture patients, she is the gateway to their acupuncture and Chinese medicine journey.
While traveling across the world, she received her yoga instructor training in India. She has been practicing yoga since 2006 and is a trained yoga teacher in Ashtanga, Baptiste, Suspension Yoga and certified in Dao Flow Yoga for Women's Health.
When she is not treating patients she enjoys traveling the world, mastering aerial silks, and looking for new experiences and adventures with her husband and WilloDog.
Janelle is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, and registered yoga teacher. She received her Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts in Asheville, NC in May 2017.
Janelle became interested in Chinese medicine after sustaining a severe injury while traveling through South America. She relied on the wisdom of native medicine in the absence of accessible healthcare facilities. She recovered soon after and began her studies in alternative medicines beginning with Ayurvedic medicine and yoga and later, Chinese medicine. She dedicated her medical studies to classical Chinese medicine given the extensive knowledge and comprehensive theory put forth.
Her practice emphasizes the importance of patient participation throughout the healing process. Janelle’s specialties include geriatrics, digestive issues, emotional imbalances, neurological issues, and pain management. She utilizes adjunct techniques, food therapy, medical qi gong, and herbal medicine.
Janelle has spent most of her life by the ocean and enjoys traveling in search of surf and coral reefs. When Janelle is not treating patients, she is spending her time studying and working towards her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine and going on adventures with her dog Yogi.
Yogi Dog is a 12yr old chihuahau that often comes to work with Janelle during her clinic days. They come as a package deal, so don't be surprised if you find a small greeter welcoming you to the clinic.
Lauren Aguirre, L.A.c. is a licensed acupuncturist. She is the owner and operator of True Roots Acupuncture, an acupuncture clinic located in Lincolnton, NC. She received her master’s diploma in Acupuncture & Oriental medicine from Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese medicine located in Sugar Grove, NC. The four year program consisted of training in both Eastern & Western medicine as well as a year of extensive hands on clinic experience. She is board certified and licensed in the state of North Carolina.
Prior to her training in Chinese medicine, Lauren worked several years in Western medicine. Having witnessed the devastating effects of some of the commonly used pharmaceuticals, Lauren decided to switch her path from Nursing school to a more holistic approach to healing that focused on prevention of disease, rather than prognosis.
Her practice specializes in women’s health, fertility, pediatrics, cosmetic acupuncture, pain management, and emotional imbalances.
Apart from her love of Chinese Medicine, Lauren is also passionate about farming, her family, and five children who live on a family farm nestled along the South Fork river in Long Shoals,NC.
Chrissy graduated from Maiden School of Massage in 2015 with 700 hours. She has taken continuing education in Cupping, Sports, Thai, Hot Stone, Reflexology, and Meditative Cancer. She enjoys learning and likes taking new classes to provide new ways to help people.
Chrissy is married, lives in Vale, NC, and has 2 children. Her boys have been in Scout's since 1st grade. Her oldest is an Eagle Scout and youngest is working on his Eagle Project.

Darby is usually the first person you have contact with in the clinic, whether in person or on the phone, she is the one who is going to help you get set up for treatment. Darby is very knowledgable about the inner workings of our clinic and Chinese Medicine as a whole. She is definitely your "go to" person for all your questions and concerns outside the treatment room.
When Darby isn't in the clinic keeping our patients company and making sure we stay on task, you can find her at her yoga studio Uptown Yoga Loft in the square of Uptown Shelby. Darby is an experienced yoga teacher and Shelby's expert at private yoga sessions. She also teaches group classes at her studio, the hospital, and various other venues in Cleveland County.
Darby has been a Shelby resident for over 8 years and is very active in the community. Aside from her work here at All Seasons Acupuncture & Wellness and teaching yoga, her passions involve her family, two boys, 3 dogs, and the arts.
